this was written for family...
about a mile away you can hear a kind of crazy laugh that no human could possible produce... except for me... the reason behind my euphoria is simple. my relatives from my father's side came to visit us...
before i continue... i'd like to give you a background of what our family is like... we're sweet, fun- loving people who like to tease people and make fun of others... it's like a pre- requisite that you have a sick sense of humor when you're with us.. and no one is allowed to get pissed off.. it's all done for fun... so back to the story
we went over to my cousin's house for lunch today... since it's already saturday we can finally eat meat... and boy, did we eat... we talked about an adopted cousin... and other people... can't really say it here... anyway... when we finished eating it was time for our ritual... yes, we brought out the karaoke... we love singing and although some may be a bit off key... no one really minds. again it's all about having fun. i was asked to sing first and so i did... my tita said i didn't look like the type of person who can sing but clearly she was wrong... hahahaha... me and ayong (my cousin) hogged the mic for about ten songs because the others were busy chatting and gossiping... after that we ate our snacks and i participated in a tabble tennis game... considering that was my first time playing i think i did okay...
all in all it was a great day... relatives bring out the best, but on frequent occasions, the worst in me and i'm glad that they could because for a while i can take comfort in the fact that i'm not the meanest person in the world...
i love my family... this is for them and a future reference for my own family in the distant future... much love
the title hints of it being sentimental and a little bit corny... but bear with me... this is what boredom and silence does to people who want to use their brain.... aside from my family, whom i love dearly and truly even if i snap at them every now and then, there are people who have touched my heart greatly and has changed my life (hopefully for the better) and i'd like to take this moment to show them my appreciation... i might not name everyone i know... so send me a message if i forget about you... hahahaha..... First, there's kim. my shopping, ditching, movie going buddy. yes, she used to be the girl wearing a rocker style get up and was an emo kid until i took charge of her clothes shopping... she's the person i see frequently and will be my med school buddy. we talk a lot of times and she knows everything, even the clothes i used to own... Next is allyl. the very frank, super sweet person whom i had gotten close with when i was room hopping at the dorm.. she let me sleep beside her. she's nice and funny, and when we're together i laugh a million times harder than i do with anyone else. she's also very caring and she's not afraid to say how she really feels. Then there's cookie. my kafatid and an all time sweet heart. she might be petite but she does have a lot of strength inside her. she's a person who's very independent. i would go so far as to say she's self made and has a knack for fashion. i loff her style but i also love her smile. as a person she's very well rounded. like i said she's an all time sweet heart. Of course i won't forget Madz. the person who has seen me cry a lot during my college days and who has supported me all the way. though our roles may have changed during the last year of college, she remains close to my heart. friendly and always on the go, she's someone you can depend on, but she's not someone you should take advantage of. yes, she's had problems but she doesn't let that get to her. a tough person like her, i pray, would find happiness. these people are the loves of my life... they're people who have stuck with me through thick and thin... through my worst behavior ever.... and i loff them all!!!  since i have a lot of things on my mind right now i'll try to write it down without being inconsistent (though i really can't organize my thoughts right now)
1. April 5, 2009. NMAT!!! yes the test day has come, me and kim woke up at the very early hour of 4 in the morning only to find out that the exam doesn't start till 8 am. saw ruppie and mel.. and to my delightful surprise we also ran into jinky and tin flores. . we hung out and then it was time to take the test!!! woohoo! the math was hard but we all had a strategy... it's called the plan b! any item where you don't know he answer you answer letter b!!! bwahahaha... ate lunch... ruppie was dubbed as the new lonely boy... he took a very ugly photo of me, but i'm used to that ... took the second part of the exam... i HATE chemistry!!!! anyway we took a few pics afetrwards... ruppie got separated from us... and then we accidentally met roma!!! said hi's and goodbyes and then my parents came to pick me up! fun fun day!
2. being able to see just one of my friends is a very nice feeling..... i couldn't stop smiling for the whole day... never mind the fact that me and kim didn't get to see the cosplay but i still had fun and i still laughed a lot... infact i think it's because i was constantly smiling that my cheeks began to hurt..
3.i can't effing sleep!!! there's some sort of party in a hall near our house and very near my room..., ugh.... no more of the concerts!!!!

Study (Stud'i).n. the application of the mind to a subject;
act of acquiring knowledge.
i have a huge problem.no, i'm not an addict; even if i do act like one. you see, i have an upcoming exam i need to take to enter med school. And of course, like any sane person would do, i'm trying to study. yes, i've enrolled to one of those review centers and no, i'm not in a state of panic (well, not yet anyway). My main problem is that i'm a procrastinator, i leave everything to do until the last minute; that includes studying. Adn that doesn't bode well with the fact that i actually want to finish medicine. i dont want to be one of those people who say 'oh, i studied medicine' and people would ask ' really? what's your specialization then?' to which i slightly choke on my white wine (the setting is at a fancy dinner party you see), and say 'Er, you see, i DID study medicibne, i just haven't finished' and a sip my wine nervously while praying to god they talk to someone else, but alas they would continue to harass me by asking 'oh then what year are you in?' and my reply would be along these lines ' i didn't get to finish' i gulp down the remaining wine and say to them ' well, i was nice talking to you. i think i'll just go and hang myself now if you'll excuse me'. (you can tell this particular scenario has been haunting me like crazy... i wake up screaming... well not really but i might).
so i've come up with ways to force myself to study, you can vote for the one you like best.
a. get a tutor to help me study. one that's not a man (pls read previous blog to find out why) and one that can actually teach (piano teacher story. i'll tell you about that another time).
b. get a study partner and tell her to whack me on the head if i get distracted. (of course i'd have to pick someone who actually loves to study. unfortunately my friends are all like me. god, i have got to get better friends!)
c. Study with my head over a basin of boiling water so that everytime i fall asleep i wake up to the sound of my own voice as i scream in excruciating pain. (the down side to this would be that at the end of my studying i would need to have reconstructive surgery which will cost me more money.)
d. actually attend my review classes.
e. Ah, feck it! who says i need to study?! i'll just wing it, if i don't get a good score, so what?! i'd only disappoint my parents and have wasted thousands of money; but every family has to have a blck sheep, and i sacrifice myself to be one.
now how should i choose?
single ('gl), adj. one only; individual; ALONE; unmarried i will probably become an old maid. no, i am not drowning myself in pity. i am just stating a fact. for those who don't know me lung enough, they find the very fact that i'm single quite impossible. you see, not to sound standoff- ish but, i'm really cute. i am quite a catch, except for my chubby-ness (but we'll leave that part for another time). so why is it that i think i'd become an old maid? well, there are various reasons, so i'll just enumerate a few to prove my point:
a. i have a guy-repellant aura around me that makes it impossible for men to get close to me. (note: i would imagine this aura would look like a big dark cloud that follows me everywhere and electrocutes men who come near me). P.S. the guy- repellant aura apparently doesn't work on annoying men (my aura functions backwards).
b.i am, by nature, emotionally retarded, and any guy who liked me can prove that i am devoid of any feeling of love.
c. if given the choice between going out on a date with the guy i had a major crush on and staying home watching anime, i would choose the latter.
d. i have recently discovered that unless the guy i'm talking to is gay, i can't talk to any member of the male species. in short, i have developed a transient muteness disease. (future studies will be made, as soon as i find other people who suffer through the same disease i have).
and for those reasons, i have no doubt that i will become an old maid. and if you try saying 'oh, don't worry about it, you're just twent-een one, you'll find someone!', i say this to you with all honesty, and this is my final arguement as to why i'd die an old maid, I HAVE NO INTEREST IN DATING WHATSOEVER. somehow i am missing a vital part of the female brain that's supposedly full of emotions and female dating instinct. Ah, well, maybe in time someone will develop an implantable chip in my brain that contains all the information on how to be not single.
about a year ago, me and kim were at rob eating at breadtalk. it was the christmas season and the store was playing a christmas song which kept repeating one phrase over and over again. "it's the most wonderful time, it's the ha-happiest season, it's the most wonderful time of the year..." and back then i thought, it really is the best time... hanging out with friends, buying carefully thought out presents and picking out which clothes to wear.
however, right now, christmas is just days away and i couldn't find my christmas spirit, i'm plagued with this overwhelming sadness. it's like everytime i see a christmas party i remember the last time i had gone out with my friends and then i just get this urge to want to see them immediately. it's not that i don't like the people i'm working with right now, i think they're all great people but they just don't fill this void in my heart.
so i guess, "christmas won't be the same without you.." is my song for this season.
in our lifetime it's said that we build a web of connections. people whom you encounter in your life. sometimes a few of those strings may break (usually you only made a connection in the first place for your own benefit and you naturally grow apart). those loses don't really seem to matter to you.
then there's the string you build that's so strong even if your far away it doesn't break. it's the string that makes your heart ache whenever your far from those people, it makes you MISS them. i have four such strings, connected to four wonderful people. they're my soulmates. (they're more than friends to me.. more than sisters)
of course our lives will never be stagnant. we're brought together by fate and we eventually had to be separated, for different reasons. some to pursue a higher education, some to work and some to prepare for a life changing event. distances increase, and the times apart grow into months. now we're all immersed into different things, but i never can seem to cut off my ties with these people.
so once in a while i feel a hole, it's unending and deep. and as more time pass by it keeps getting bugger. i know it may sound a little too much, like i'm exaggerating. but i'm not. it hurts when you can't be with the people you care for, you constantly search for that feeling of peace and security.
